I love making things by hand: bread, soup, blankets — but I make far more than my household can ever use and, since bread and soup are hardly mailable items…
The blanket pictured above — not the cat, sorry — is looking for a good home. The only caveat is that it was constructed in a home with two cats — one long-haired, one short — so if you’re extremely allergic to felines, this is probably not for you. 😦
Other than that, it’s free and it’s yours — leave a comment on this post or message me on Twitter and you got yourself a brandy new blanket.
The blanket is all wool, a mixture of hand- and machine-made wools, some home-made from start to finish (I began this project with some of my mom’s leftovers from her master spinner program.) It’s a nice lap-blanket size, could be used as a shawl or a light throw. It’s quite warm! As far as care and cleaning go, I’d suggest hand-washing and flat-drying.
